Rooted in family. Grown with purpose. Built by service. A small farm honoring sacrifice, commitment, and the American spirit.
Meet Our FamilyFamily Owned & Operated β Central Missouri
Grunt Nuts is a small, family-run walnut farm nestled in Central Missouri. We believe in doing things the right way β taking care of the land, growing something we're proud of, and building a legacy that can be passed down for generations.
We're not a corporation. We're a family that looked out at the Missouri soil and decided to plant roots β literally. Every tree we plant, every walnut we grow, carries the care and intention that only a family operation can offer.
We're at the very beginning of this journey, and we'd love for you to follow along as our farm comes to life.
Everything we do is for our family and the families we'll one day serve. Small batch, personal, and made with care.
Proud to put Central Missouri on the map for premium walnut production. Local roots, local pride.
No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just hard work, good soil, and a commitment to quality that you can taste.
Proud to Serve
Awarded 3 Times
Infantry β 0311 Grunt
John McClellan served his country as a Marine Corps infantryman β a Grunt. He was wounded in combat three times and awarded the Purple Heart on each occasion. His service is a testament to his courage, commitment, and unwavering dedication to something greater than himself.
That kind of sacrifice doesn't fade. It becomes part of who you are. It shapes how you work, how you lead, and how you show up every single day. John brings that same grit, discipline, and Marine Corps values to every acre of Grunt Nuts farm.
The name says it all. A Grunt growing nuts β built on sacrifice, driven by purpose, rooted in patriotism, and proud of every step of the journey. Semper Fidelis.
Where we're going
2026 β Now
Getting Grunt Nuts off the ground. Preparing our Central Missouri land, selecting premier walnut varieties, and laying the groundwork for a farm built to last generations.
Late 2026
The moment we've been working toward. Putting walnut trees in Missouri soil for the first time. Every tree planted is a promise β to our family, our future customers, and the land we steward.
2028 & Beyond
As our trees mature, we'll bring premium Missouri-grown walnuts to market. We also hope to support other veterans making the transition to agriculture β because nobody should have to figure it out alone.
We're just getting started. Whether you want to stay in the loop, ask a question, or just say hello β we'd love to hear from you.
